Important Notice
Microsoft ended standard Windows 10 support on October 14, 2025. Eligible devices may have Extended Security Updates as a temporary option.
What's Happening?
Windows 11 has hardware requirements that some Windows 10 devices do not meet. Unlike previous Windows upgrades that were largely software-based, Windows 11 requires specific hardware features — most notably a TPM 2.0 (Trusted Platform Module) chip and a relatively modern processor.
Check each device against Microsoft's Windows 11 requirements. If a device is ineligible, plan a replacement or review Extended Security Updates as a temporary measure.
What Does This Mean for Your Business?
Security Risk
Without security updates, your Windows 10 computers become increasingly vulnerable to malware, ransomware, and cyberattacks.
Compliance Issues
Unsupported software can create compliance concerns. Review the requirements that apply to your business and any available Extended Security Updates.
Software Compatibility
Over time, software vendors will drop support for Windows 10. New business applications may require Windows 11 or later.
Hardware Refresh
If a device cannot run Windows 11, plan for replacement or a temporary Extended Security Updates option.
